Not bad at all look up ILS in Compton ca
Could you imagine pulling that off then remembering that you brought a trailer with swing doors and you forgot to open them? Then you'd have to pull out and do it again 😢😢
That was amazing
And all his fellow truck drivers just keep walking by and don't even bother trying to guide him this is such a sad and pathetic time we're living in I did a lot of Trucking in the 60s and people were different people would go out of their way to help you and truckers were the best drivers on the road now everything is just people who think about themselves only care about themselves want to take out their phones and record you and make fun of you and you don't make no money it's just pathetic where this Trucking industry has gone
I could not have done that
Open doors
Slid axles
He got it in and didn’t damage anything. That is the objective. Doesn’t matter how long it takes. Good job.
Wtf did I just watch, obv you don’t know anything about trucking or being a decent truck driver
Damn good job!
Where is this? I think I've delivered here
Because some company can’t organize docks and has trailers everywhere, the driver wasted his time , gas and risked to back into this horrible place .
This looks like it absolutely sucks, kudos to all you great drivers that can do it..
I can without a problem. Thankfully I'm not otr pulling reefers anymore. From the start I could see this person had started backing at the wrong point with the wrong trailer angle. Narrow docking should be part of training, I had to learn it on my own and I'm actually just trying to to find an old video that helped me out years ago because the 5 other semi drivers I work with can't understand what I'm trying to tell them and I'm not paid to train or do their job.
Why he didnt use all that free space on the right to position his truck better from the start ?
It's crazy how little room some businesses have for trailer backing and unloading. It surprised me how small the area is at our local WM. Not to mention the narrow drive in and out of the place.
He got it where it needed to be no damage; good job
all i have to say is poor guy did all that but forgot to open his doors before getting in there lol
great job!!
What a loser filming to record a accident instead of helping a fellow driver. Trucking don't need a holes like you
Most drivers can back up better without help.
He is new. I think. He need help. Why make videos. 🖕
Peterbuilt drivers are built different 🦾,,,nice job,,,
That is Very Nice But i Wont See How The Front Weill Bauc up And The Triller Gons Lift or Right So I wont See The Front Weill
A steering shy
Some people don’t realize how difficult this can be
Not only did he nail maybe the most difficult docking situation perfectly, he did it in a Freightliner Long Nose! 10/10 difficulty! Respect to that man! 👏
As someone who's finishing up truck school and struggled with docking, this gave me anxiety just thinking about it. Well done sir
Amazing job. Would have been easier if that one idiot wasn't parked right in front of him
The driver did a good job. Took his time and backed it in safely. But i can telk u right now iv only had my cdl for 10 months and i can say this was not a difficult back at all . Very easy indeed. Not tight at all . Maybe its not easy because of the space and the truck parked in front but this is light work . I drove for jb hunt on the tractor supply account delivering to tractor supply stores and to very small tight yards with trailers everywhere having to be real creative with setting up to back into spots so this is nothing . The driver just must be new or just not confident in his backing becaue this is light work . Did alot alot alot harder on the daily with jb hunt
He did great job
Not bad ?but wrong approach ? [ 1st let me tell you about myself ,I have over 40 yrs driving experience which includes 15 1/2 yrs as heavy duty towing & recovery operator in several states with driving awards ] no I don't think I'm the best just very good operating/driving skills ,thanks to towing , in Chicago land area where I learned in my 20's & can prove it ! Here's what & where I see the MOST problems drivers have backing up anywhere ! And mostly to blame by trucking schools, company training programs, colleges ??? the #1 issue is called your APPROACH & knowing how to judge distance, no offence to rookies & alot of senior drivers as well ! Listen carefully I'm about to teach you something to save your ass's ,headaches' , frustration , time & teach you excellent driving skills ! doesn't matter if it's a 40' 42' 53' ? It's all about your APPROACH ? most drivers think putting your tandems or trailer close to vehicle there backing next too ! WRONG APPROACH especially with tandems all the way forward ! leave yourself more room when starting your approach ! in other words dont be 3' from the hole, be more like 8' then when you pivot gives more room to make your cut or turn ? if you fallow what i'm saying makes it so much easier for yourself ,SHAME ON THESE HALF ASS DRIVING SCHOOLS WITH AMATURE TRAINERS ? Teach yourself when you have time ? or watch other drivers ?? if it takes several tries back & forth forward/backwards its the wrong APPROACH ,only difference might be a long hood in small lot ? but it still all about your APPROACH APPROACH APPROACH good luck out there think think think ! 1st besafe out truckers & steering wheel holders, prepare for the worse cause its coming sooner than you think ?
Great job!
There are dock spacing and approach apron distances provided by NTA, OSHA and FSMA. Doors should have minimum 14 feet centers and 150 apron to the front of each truck after docked. I have called this to the attention of the safety director at the facility many times. Told them if I get hurt or any equipment is damaged they could be liable because they fail to followed safety guidelines. Also have refused to back into some spaces because of safety issues. When all drivers refuse to accept the unsafe conditions, shippers and receivers will make conditions safe.
i drive a rear split axle honestly i feel more comfortable backing up with wheels to the back vs forward turning is another story tho
Expert!!! Excellent driving! ☺
damn shaky ass hands
I hate when OTR drivers park along the curb in front of tight spaces and just watch you have too make unnecessary adjustments because they won’t fkn move !
Drivers used to get out and help each other, a few out there still do. Trucking has gone to he-- in a hand basket.😮
People in the comments talking shit and dont even have their cdl😂
Well, what are you expect drivers don’t help out each other out here nowadays, because most of the drivers out here are nothing but trash lucky if they even speak English because we’re being taken over by the foreigners
OK, so exactly. Where is he backing into a tight spot
Anyone saying this isn’t a tight spot doesn’t drive a truck. Not so much the parking space, but the area in front of his truck is tight with no room to chase the trailer when pushing it into the spot
Did he forget to open his doors?
If it had a swift logo on it, eveyone would be clownin😅
A true hero. May we all care for our fellow people like that.
Everyone has their way, take your time and find your own Rhythm 😉
Funny, I first came across this video when it was first uploaded. I had just purchased a 43 foot fifth wheel and was trying to understand backing up better. It's all about those rear wheels as the pivot point, and this video illustrates this perfectly. Not sure why the algorithm showed me this again, but just know that this video really helped me a lot.
It’s rude to park a trailer across from the docks.
That driver was a boss! Great job!
This is what it takes...time and patience to do your job
i literally just delivered here😂😂😂😂
